The typical method is to purchase fresh fish from the central market. The seafood arrives there from the local markets where the boats are docked at.
Our method is to directly purchase fresh fish landed at the local markets. TOYOSU MARKET
The famous Tsukiji Market moved in October 2018 to Toyosu, which is loacted in Tokyo Bay. Tokyo Bay is the largest industrialized area with a total of 6 ports and boasts the title of being the busiest import/export hub in all of Asia. The new Toyosu Market is almost twice the size of Tsukiji, making it the biggest fish market in the world.
The market is known for their live tuna auctions and the new complex now is home to many famous restaurants serving the fresh seafood coming in. The adjoining building also sells fresh fruit and vegetables as well.
